The location of Ascend Hotel is fantastic for exploring Quebec City. I loved the comfortable bed in my Standard King Room. It seemed like a cloud. The staff was accommodating, especially Maria at check-in, who offered great local tips. Noise from the hallway was an issue was nice. The bathroom cleanliness left something to be desired. There were remnants of hair on the bathtub. The air conditioning unit struggled to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Despite these inconveniences, the overall experience was enjoyable due to the attentive service and central location.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive about ataying here but I had nothing to worry about. The hotel is located in saint Foy, if you are getting the train from Montreal as we did get off at this station. The train journey was excellent. It's a short journey from the station by cab. The hotle is located on a strip where there are other hotels and there is a mall within 5 minute walking distance. The no.400 takes you into the centre of quebec city and is about 15 mins drive away. The restaurant rascal located right beside the hotel is excellent for breakfast and dinner. The room was adequate but only wish the quilt was a bit thicker as the room was a bit cold at night and too hot in the morning. Swiiming pool relaxing.
The only complaint i had a bout the swimming pool was the showers were cold and there were no changing facilities which meant a wet trek back to the room!

The Hotel staff was very helpful and tried to accommodate us whereever it was possible.
For the type of Hotel and the price, I would have expected a Tea/Coffee making facility and possibly a fridge and microwave in the room, as offerred by other Hotels with the same * (Star) rating.
